Training
We have spent many years developing a training philosophy that allows us to treat and teach each dog as an individual. We believe strongly in the value and strength of positive reinforcement training and strive to train as positively as possible for the situations our students find themselves in.
We contiune to learn and grow in our training by attending seminars, observing training in many disciplines and by many trainers. By doing this we are able to find trainers we agree with and who we integrate their methods into our training. We are also able to see what does not work and avoid pitfalls that other trainers have made before us. With this level of exposure to different trainers; we are able to provide a support system that includes trainers in other areas that we can refer clients to and be confident that they will be provided with outstanding training.
As trainers we recongize that the most successful training includes both the dog and the owner. This is is why our preferred methods of training are private or group lessons. With that being said we also understand that lifes responsibilities and time contraints can make it impossible for some owners to take advantage of those options. Because of this we also offer in house training where the dog will come stay with us and then we will use follow up lessons to instruct the owners on how to handle their newly trained dog.
